Zoo will open on Sri Lanka
The first phase of construction of the new Zoo Sri Lanka is completed. It is located close to the elephant kennel in Pinnavel (Pinnawela) and accept visitors in October.
Earlier, the opening of the zoo, which will be second in the country, was planned for April 2012. After launching the first queue of the complex, visitors will be able to see animals living in Sri Lanka. Beliefs from other parts of the planet wishers will be able to see later when the complex will be completely completed.
Currently, enclosures, administrative buildings and cafes have already been built on the territory of the zoo, and ponds are arranged. The zoo is expected to attract a large number of visitors to Pinavel, which will have a positive effect on the local economy, the Embassy of Sri Lanka in the our Federation reports.
