World Surf Championship 2013

Ecuador’s sports authorities concluded an agreement with the International Surfing Association (AIS) that World Master Surfing Championship World Surfing Championship will be held in Ecuador in Ecuador. Augusto Moran Sports Minister (Augusto Moran) signed a championship agreement during the current international surfing championship, which was held in Nicaragua on Colorado Beach from July 14 to July 22, where Ecuador was presented.

Moran noted that after holding the Latin American games on the beach last year in Manta, the province of Manabi, a large financial support for surfing was obtained, given its importance. On the selection as headquarters of the Montagita championship (Montanita) in Ecuadorian province Santa Elena, Moran reported that this location would contribute to the country of world champions, which will stimulate the development of surfing. He also clarified that maritime conditions on the Ecuador coast are favorable for surfing, and the championship will contribute to tourist activity.

Excellent conditions for surfing are one of the attractions of the Montagnit region – here from January to July, the waves reach three meters in height.
